Ordering our ProMax2 Heated Bat Rolling or Barrel Optimization Service is a simple as 1-2-3. Once you place your order, we will email you all the required shipping information. You simply box your bat/s and ship them to us. When you get them back they'll be GAME READY and HOT! You are required to pay for shipping both ways to us. During checkout you will be selecting and paying for the return shipping to you. We DO NOT provide shipping boxes. If you need one, we suggest shipping US Postal Service Priority Mail. Most post offices have triangle shipping boxes free of charge to their customers. DO NOT ship using round tubes as they tend to no hold up well during shipping.

This is one of the most asked questions we received. There are 3 recommendations we provide for Alloy Baseball bats (BBCOR, USA & USSSA), 1st would be our Barrel Optimization Service, this typically provides on average 10-20ft more distance as compared to an unaltered new bat. If you’re looking for additional distance, we then recommend adding our CNC Bat Shaving service to your bat. On average, this service can add up to 10-15ft additional distance (Bringing your total potential distance gain to 20-35ft). Please note, on bats that utilize restrictor rings, those rings will be removed during the shaving process.

Our New Barrel Optimization Service was designed specifically for New Alloy Bats in mind. Over the years, Alloy bats have proven to be a challenge in terms of break-in via traditional Bat Rolling techniques. Our Barrel Optimization Service takes Alloy bat break-in to a new level. This service which consists of modified Rolling process, Heating followed by a rapid cooling process as well as a few NEW proprietary techniques that routinely offer average performance gains on new bats in the 10-20ft range for most Alloy Barrel Bats. These gains are roughly 30% higher than what can be achieved with traditional Heated Bat Rolling. In addition to increased distance, you will have a larger sweet spot as well as increased durability. Adding this service to your new bat purchase ensures you will have the highest performing bat right out of the wrapper.

ProMax2 Bat Rolling Details
We had been experimenting with Heated Bat Rolling for several years and never really found too much benefit with the process. With the increased need for pre-heating to get the newer bats to properly respond to the rolling process we decided it was necessary to revisit the heating process and see if there were any new benefits. What we found was that with the current designs used in most Softball and Baseball bats that by pre-heating these bats prior to rolling we were seeing much better results. The thicker walls and different composite makeup has made rolling these bats a challenge. It is very difficult to get the walls to flex enough to get them to break in thoroughly. By heating these bats first we found it much easier and in fact we are seeing distance increases closer to that earlier models. In addition to new Adult baseball bats, we are finding that most manufacturers are now changing the design of the newer Slowpitch Softball bats. They are using less durable paint and they are also using a new spiral wrap design that causes bats to actually unravel as they exceed the designed performance levels. By heating your bat before rolling then you virtually eliminate this issue.
